About the role

Building on our current strengths, and identifying new opportunities, you will ensure Woodhouse West continues to provide exceptional provision for our community. An engaging communicator, you will work to strengthen links within our community and family of schools. You will deliver a clear sense of purpose for our school and of how we will continue to move forward, securing exceptional provision for each and every child.

You will value and consolidate our strengths whilst you focus on where we need to implement change. You will present a vision to overcome the challenges we face, such as improving progress in mathematics, raising attendance and develop aspirations in all our parents for their children. You will share this vision with staff, children, parents, governors and the community, helping us all to move forward together.

The future offers a variety of opportunities, for example, our family of schools is currently exploring the possibility of trust status. As our new Headteacher you will ensure Woodhouse West Primary School is well positioned to respond to whatever the future presents. You will have a strong strategic vision for our school and a passion to give our children the best opportunities available.
